Names Announced for 2008 NBC Heads-Up Championship
NBC is gearing up for the Heads-Up Championship, which will be held inside Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas beginning on February 28, 2008. So far, all the usual suspects are invited such as Annie Duke, Freddy Deeb, Ted Forrest and 2007 WSOP Main Event Champ, Jerry Yang.
Also on the list are Barry Greenstein, Howard Lederer, Jamie Gold, Antonio Esfandiari, Shannon Elizabeth and last year's winner Paul Wasicka. A total of 37 pros have been invited with 24 names yet to be released. Those are due by the end of the month. The remaining three players in the 64 person tournament will be chosen from online qualifiers and a special $500 satellite taking place at Caesar's Palace prior to the event.
