David Williams is a busy bee this summer. The handsome 20-something Bodog pro has gone deep and even cashed in some WSOP events already. However, his biggest win of the summer thus far was at the Bellagio Cup.
Williams, who busted out of one of his WSOP events a wee bit early, decided to head on over to the Bellagio and play in the $5,000 NLHE event last Thursday at the Vegas Strip poker room. The final table was no cake-walk for the youngster, who went heads-up with Greg Raymer at the 2004 WSOP Main Event. Roland De Wolfe, an EPT champ, and John Gale, who's also a WSOP bracelet holderlike Williams, were standing in his way.
Williams played heads up against tournament regular, David Dicken, but he didn't let anything get to him. Williams played his aggressive and intelligent game and receive not only the $129,120 first prize, but also a bracelet and an entry to the World Poker Tour Championship next year.
