Borgata Rivaling WSOP
The World Series of Poker isn't the only game in town, and the Borgata's Summer Poker Open is stealing players away from the Rio. Bodog 's David Williams was spotted in the winner circle at one event, and then hoofing it over to the Rio to try and sign up for a WSOP event, but not quite making it in time.
The Summer Open events only run one day each, which make them ideal for the WSOP players looking for a little action in between events. This was all part of the planning, according to Tournament Director Tab Duchateau, who said the events were planed for players “taking day-trips.”
There are twelve main events that run the gamut of NLHE, limit Hold;em, Stud and even a ladies only event.
