Teledonk Knocks Out the Competition in PLO Contest at Full Tilt
At 2pm ET on Thursday August 7, 2008, 1,138 players took to the virtual felt for the second event of the FTOPS IX. The $256 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha/8 Knockout was hosted by recent World Series of Poker bracelet winner Martin Klaser and was guaranteed at $200,000. However, the total prize pool topped out at $227,600.
108 players made bank in the event including Full Tilt Poker's newest member, Nikolay Evdakov. Evdakov had a total of ten cashes at this summer's WSOP, which is a record. The Russian player took the 53rd slot in this tournament, adding $569.00 to his bankroll.
The final two players in this event were Teledonk and chicha62. The duo fought over the top spot. In the end, it was Teledonk who emerged victorious, laying claim to the title and the $51,210 that went along with it.
