The first weekend of 2007 was a big one at Poker Stars . Over 7100 people entered to play the Sunday Million Tournament. The massive amount of players - the biggest number Pokerstars has ever seen for the Sunday Mil - drove the prize pool up to $1,425,800. Over 1,000 players cashed in the event and the top eight finishers earned over $10,000.00.

When the final table got underway, xapla had the chip lead with 17.1 mil. bail agent 2 was the short stack with less than 2 mil in chips. He would be the first player to bid the final table adieu. He pushed all-in pre-flop with an Ad, 5h and found himself up against LOPINI's dominant Ah, Jd. The flop gave LOPINI a pair of jacks and a gutshot straight draw. It was Qc, Jc, 10s. The turn was a 2h and the river was a Qs. bail agent2 hit the rails with his $8,400.

kAmIkAdZeEe was then the short stack at the table. His Ah,7c found no help against a king on the flop. ch0ppy won the hand with his Kc,9h and eliminated kAmIkAdZeEe in eighth place. A quarter of an hour later, the next player left the competition. Fisheye25 pushed all-in preflop with his pocket fives. LOPINI made the easy call with cowboys in the hole. The board offered Fisheye25 no help. He took $22,100 home for his efforts, however.

xapla, who held the chip lead going into the final table, watched as his stack dwindled. He was only left with 8.2 mil when he went all-in. Since the big blind was 800k, he was in trouble anyway. Unfortunately he held Ks, 5c against AK87's Ac, Jd. The flop fell with an ace for AK87. xapla found no love from the board and bid farewell to his tablemates in sixth place.

After the break, PDX-JMc made a stand. With the blinds at 500,000/1,000,000 his last 4 mil in chips didn't amount to much. AK87 made the call with Ah, 9c. PDX-JMc held small suited connectors (5d, 6d). The flop was Jh, Jc, 9s which brought AK87 two-pair. The turn and river didn't help PDX-JMc, who needed runner-runner to win anyway. He had almost $43,000 in cash to console him so it's all good.

AK87 was the next to be eliminated. He raised all-in preflop and was called by ch0ppy who had more chips than he did. AK87 had a Qh, 3h. ch0ppy turned over an Ad, 6h. The flop gave ch0ppy bottom pair and. The turn was a jack of hearts which gave AK87 hope to complete his heart-flush draw. Unfortunately the river closed that door with a two of diamonds. For fourth place, Ak87 earned $57,032.

severine was the next player to hit the rails. LOPINI put him out of his misery with an A,8 in the pocket. severine's fate was pretty much sealed when another ace spiked on the flop. At the beginning of heads-up play, LOPINI had 20.2 mil to ch0ppy's 51.1 mil. A few minutes later, the stacks were almost even.

LOPINI won a few other hands after that and took the lead for a bit. ch0ppy caught a lucky seven on the flop with an A,7 and LOPINI made the call that would cripple him with an A, J. On the very next hand, ch0ppy won the tournament with a set of tens.

Here are the final table results:

1) ch0ppy - $201,037.80 2) LOPINI - $101,231.80 3) severine - $71,290 4) AK87 - $57,032 5) PDX-JMc - $42,774 6) xapla - $31,367.60 7) Fisheye25 - $22,099.90 8) kAmIkAdZeEe - $12,832.20 9) bail agent2 - $8,412.22
