Poker Stars SCOOP Scoop – Event 2
The second event of Poker Stars Spring Championship of Online Poker will be Pot Limit Omaha Hi Lo. Read on for the scoop on this SCOOP event.
Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo is a neat game, but certainly one where you need to know what you are doing to play. Luckily the three stake levels will let you play at your comfort level.
The game will run April 2 at 16:30 (4:30) at the following stakes and prize pools:
Stake Buy in Prize Pool Low $11.00 $25,000 Med $109.00 $50,000 High $1,050.00 $200,000
With any Pot Limit game you should be aware of the risks you are taking. You may get lulled into thinking “hey, this isn't no limit, so I can't go broke quickly.” And you would be wrong. Pot Limit is the max bet, but you would be surprised at how exponentially fast that number can grow.
With any Hi/Lo game don't forget that sometimes the best you can hope for is to win half the pot (either the Hi or the Lo), so keep that in mind when calculating expected pot odds.
