Ultimate Bet has had a hard time making their guarantee week after week for their Sunday 200K. However, this week, the home of pros like Antonio Esfandiari, Annie Duke and Mr. Eleven Bracelets himself, Phil Hellmuth, not only met its attendance goal – they exceeded it. 1,048 players paid to play in the $200,000 Guarantee on Sunday night, driving the prize pool up to $209,600. 110 spots paid out.
The final table took nearly two hours to complete. As action got underway, allinjompa had a narrow chip lead with folks like A_thekevlar_2 and faralone nipping at his heels. faralone would eliminate thanks in tenth place with his pocket rockets. Later on, he'd make short work of A_thekevlar_2, a former finalist in this event. A_thekevlar_2 called faralone's preflop raise with pocket nines. Unfortunately, the board gave faralone an ace on the river, pairing his top hole card and sending A_thekevlar_2 to the rail in fifth place with an $11,004 payday.
MTTwelfare played aggressive poker throughout the match but seemed to pick up steam once the action got down to four players. Unfortunately for him, he pushed all-in against allinjompa with pocket eights. allinjompa flipped over an Ad,10h. All looked good for MTTwelfare on the flop which came down Js,7h,5d. However, the turn gave allinjompa a 10 and the lead. The river was a blank so MTTwelfare collected his $13,000 plus payment.
allinjompa would take the lead and hold it as heads-up play began. He and faralone would duke it out for quite some time. Finally, faralone pulled to near-even when he rivered a flush. He took the lead right before the final hand. allinjompa raised to 120k preflop. faralone went over the top for his remaining 1.4 million. jompa made the call and turned over his pocket jacks. faralone showed his pocket fives, which were a 4 to 1 underdog at this point in the hand. The river brought faralone the miracle set he sought and that's all she wrote.
Here are the final table results:
1) Faralone - $46,112 2) allinjompa - $26,996 3) ParDoctor - $18,654 4) MTTwelfare - $13,624 5) A_theKevlar_2 - $11,004 6) KATHU79 - $8,803.20 7) mark1106 - $6,707.20 8) Time To Dance - $4,716 9) DRTHPelagius - $3,563 10) thanks - $2,096
Full Tilt met its $500,000 Guarantee easily on Sunday. 3,378 sat down to play in this weekly event. Sure, it wasn't as big as last week when over 3,400 people entered the event, but it was good enough to bring the total prize pool up to $675,600. The top 459 made bank. When the final table action started at almost 2 am EDT, MyagiDojo and iMsoLucky0 were in the top two spots. (Note: iMsoLucky0 is the online handle of one Jordan Morgan, a bloke who cashed four times at this summer's WSOP, one of which earned him a final table seat.)
bokpower, another online poker player of note – he finished ninth in FTOPS III Main Event – was the first player eliminated from the final table. He went all-in with an A,7. Skinken called and flipped over pocket tens. They held up and bok had no more power. However, he did have more than $9,000.
USCphildo then lost a race with his pocket sevens against iMsoLucky0's big slick in the hole. On the next hand, somporn pushed all-in with his pocket hooks. MyagiDojo made a questionable call with K,8 and caught a fantastic flop, pairing both his hole cards. As somporn left the table and the tournament, MyagiDojo typed 'sorry', aware of the bad beat he just dealt his opponent.
iMsoLucky0 was a dominating force at the final table. He knocked several other players out and was a major factor in the demise of others. He made it to heads-up play against carabello without much of a problem. However, carabello's knockout of MyagiDojo brought the duo to near-even in chips.
iMsoLucky0 relied on skill and aggression to take the lead early-on on the heads-up battle. On the final hand, carabello was all-in with an Ad,Qd versus Lucky's pocket tens. The board didn't help carabello and Lucky won the day.
These are the final table facts, folks:
1) iMsoLucky0 - $120,966.18 2) carabello - $73,640.40 3) MyagiDojo - $47,967.60 4) Skinken - $37,495.80 5) professor plum - $28,037.40 6) ronniehood - $20,740.92 7) somporn - $15,538.80 8) USCphildo - $12,160.80 9) bokpower - $9,053.04
Jon “PearlJammer” Turner, who won the Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed last weekend, narrowly missed making the final table. The internet poker god finished in 11th place. All tolled, Bodog saw 912 entrants to their weekly big one. KillerKenny, the eventual winner, was the chip leader after the first hand was played.
Whitey03, a former chip leader, found himself in chip trouble early. He went all-in with an A,10. ShaneOZOZO had a measly 9,8 so he looked to be in good position to double up. That is until the flop brought Shane a nine and the turn gave him a set. Whitey03 could only watch in disbelief as his tournament hopes were dashed in a disappointing seventh place. Ouch!
ShaneOZOZO would make it to three-handed play against Tse Tse Fly and KillerKenny, the eventual winner of the tourney. He was third in chips with a shade under 400k left. KillerKenny forced Shane all-in with his K,4. KillerKenny probably jumped for virtual joy when he saw that hand as he was holding pocket tens. The board came down Js,5s,2d,Jd,7c and heads-up play was underway.
KillerKenny had about a 2-to-1 chip lead with 1.5 mil vs. Tse Tse's 770k. KillerKenny whittled Tse Tse's chip stack down to about 13 times the blinds. At that point, the two kept pushing all-in preflop. On the final hand, Tse Tse had a 7,6o and Killer flipped over an A,Q. The flop dealt the death blow for Killer as a queen landed. The turn was a five and the river a two.
Here are the final results:
1) KillerKenny - $25,000 2) Tse Tse Fly - $14,000 3) ShaneOZOZO - $9,000 4) L T - $6,500 5) 011jp - $5,400 6) Joe McGuire - $4,400 7) Whitey03 - $3,400 8) mlfoust - $2,400 9) Chuck a Luck - $1,550
At PartyPoker , 1,515 players brought the prize pool of the $300,000 Guaranteed for a total of $303,000. When the final action commenced, motsi, who was on the short stack, moved all-in with pocket hooks. zanderfish called with pocket fours and made a set on the flop.
LordLuckBox proved his name was chosen for a reason. He caught a rush of good cards and terminated three players in a row. As six-handed play got underway, he had over 2.5 million chips, which was more than double his nearest competitor. Unfortunately, his aces got cracked by the pocket queens of min_spin. This gave min_spin the lead and the eventual win.
The final four agreed to a chop after It_Could_Hit pushed all-in with his pocket eights only to see min_spin call him with pocket queens (again.)
These are the final table facts, folks:
1) min_spin - $52,435.50 2) LordLuckbox - $35,000 3) zanderfish - $22,800 4) ONIONACE - $21,115 5) It_Could_Hit - $13,938 6) ded_moroz07 - $10,453.50 7) TheCorner - $8,029.50 8) Badevirus - $5,302.50 9) Bjagajnik - $4,090.50 10) motsi - $2,878.50
