GoToChurch Stays Home and Wins FTOPS VIII Heads-Up Event on Sunday
The eighth event of the eighth installment of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series, FTOPS, got underway on Sunday. Paul Wasicka, the 2006 WSOP Main Event runner-up, presided over the festivities in the $535 buy-in NLHE heads-up competition. Wasicka knows a little something-something about heads-up play, having taken down the NBC Heads-Up Championship in 2007.
512 players paid their way into this nine-round event that took nearly 10 hours to play. Jon Turner, aka Pearljammed, was the only Full Tilt Pro to cash in the tourney. The final match featured GoToChurch against Boondy. GoToChurch won the match-up and earned more than $51,000 for his efforts.
