DaEvils Triumphs at the FTOPS VIII NLHE $216 Rebuy & Add On Tournament
Lee Watkinson played host at the FTOPS VIII on Tuesday May 13th in the mid-afternoon (2pm EST). The final tablist from the 2007 WSOP Main Event took to the felt in the $200 + $16 NLHE 1 rebuy/1 add-on tournament. 961 players drove up the total prize pool more than $150,000 past the guarantee. $455,200 was paid out to the top 90 players in the tourney.
On the Full Tilt side, former software programmer Steve Brecher, who's made final tables on the World Poker Tour and United States Poker Championships, made bank. Brecher earned $1,547.68 for his 28th place finish. Madame Maria, fresh off her second place finish in the Pot Limit Omaha 8/b tournament , made another final table, taking the seventh slot.
The final two players in the tournament were DaEvils and DERAJ21. They valiantly battled for the top spot. In the end, DaEvils triumphed, netting more than $104,000.
