World Poker Tour Releases Seventh Season Schedule
The World Poker Tour released its seventh season schedule late last week. Absent from the roster were several events. Most notably missing is the previous season opener in May at the Mirage. The Mandalay Bay tournament, also in May, will not be held this year. Neither will the Turks & Caicos event take place.
Thus, the WPT will begin its seventh season in July with the Bellagio Cup. The only other difference between this season and last will be a new event at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, MS. This tourney will take the place of the WPT's Tunica Event in January 2009.
GSN is expected to air these tournaments. However, as of yet, no agreement has been reached between the two parties.
