What's On Tap at the WSOP – June 5 – 7, 2008
The World Series has had marathon sessions, record-breaking entries and big name players taking down the majority of the events thus far. After a slow start – at least for the tournament reporters – there have been three winners crowned in the last twenty-four hours. Grant Hinkle , a 27 year old high tech marketing professional from Kansas City, MO, defeated the biggest non-Main Event field in WSOP history in the $1,500 NLHE Event (#2).
David Singer, one of the best poker players to never get a bracelet, changed that description (and his destiny) in Event #3 , a $1,500 Pot Limit Hold'em Tourney. Singer climbed from the bottom of the chip heap to win the title, the $214,000 plus and his first piece of WSOP bling-bling.
Erick Lindgren, perhaps the best player without a bracelet, faced a difficult final table in Event #4, a $5k mixed hold'em tournament. To come out on top, Lindgren bested fellow Full Tilters Howard Lederer and Roland de Wolfe and a strong Bodog contingent featuring David Williams and Justin Bonomo.
There are multiple events starting the next few days. We've got the schedule for you below:
