What's On Tap Today at the 2008 WSOP – June 16th & June 17th
Max Pescatori earned his second gold bracelet in the $2,500 Pot Limit Hold'em/Omaha Event (#24). A short while before the Italian Pirate claimed victory, Blair Hinkle kept it all in the family by taking down the 23rd event. Hinkle, whose brother, Grant, was victorious in Event #2 , a $1,500 NLHE competition, took top honors in the $2,000 NLHE tourney. The Hinkle boys have made history by becoming the first pair of siblings to win WSOP bracelets in the same year.
In other WSOP news, Vanessa Selbst, who already has a bracelet from Event #19 , is hanging tough in 25th event. She's currently second in chips, behind Kenny Tran. With only four players remaining, Selbst is in good position to take down her second bracelet of the series. Barry Greenstein is also holding down the second slot in Event #26, a $1,500 Razz Tournament. The final eight are set to play it out for the title shortly.
Without further ado, here's what's going on at the WSOP for Monday June 16 and Tuesday June 17, 2008:
