Sean Saninikone Takes Quapaw Title on Heartland Poker Tour

457 players took part in the Heartland Poker Tour's Downstream Casino tournament in Quapaw, Oklahoma. A great start to the 2009 season, the HPT is looking to have a great season. 18 events are planned including this new event at the Downstream.

HPT co-founder Todd Anderson admitted that “we weren't sure of the outcome. Having over 450 players was unbelievable for a first-time venue.” Obviously “the people of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Texas are serious about their poker.”

In the end, factory worker Sean Saninikone, who is facing a layoff later this month, took the title in what was the HPT's longest final table in its history thus far.

These are the results:

1: Sean Saninikone -- $127,404 2: James Jennings -- $63,702 3: Matt Newcombe -- $38,221 4: Chad Long -- $29,728 5: Daniel Haley -- $25,481 6: George Miller -- $21,234
