PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour Doesn't Cry for Argentina

The PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour has been grown by one – a new stop, the last stop, on their Season II schedule – and it is in Evita country!

Argentina will play host to the final tournament in the second season of the LAPT. Some 600 players are expected to arrive at Mar del Plata to play, plunking down their $5,200 buy in at Casino Central.

The Grand Final wraps up the season from April 16-19, and you can bet the title of LAPT grand champion will be hotly contested by all comers. The country choice is fitting in many ways, including the fact that it is where Fabian Ortiz hails from – Ortiz was the first actual Latin American to win a Latin American Poker Tour event, when he whipped up on the competition in Chile. (That's pronounced chill- ay, thank you.)

Of course, there is another event on the docket before the Grand Final comes around. From March 18-20 poker players will visit the Mantra Resort Spa Casino in Punta del Este, Uruguay, where last year the victor was Jose Miguel Espinar from Spain.

Can YOU take on Latin America's best and brightest and win? You can at least try – visit Poker Stars here and qualify for a seat today!
