Irish Poker Open Set for Easter Weekend 2009 (April 9-13)
Europe's longest running poker festival, Irish Poker Open, will take place on April 9-13th 2009. The buy-in has been set at €3,200 + €300 and a Super Satellite will be held on the 9th. To celebrate, event sponsor PaddyPowerPoker.com has launched its biggest ever Irish Poker Open promotion called the 'Sole Survivor.'
In a nutshell, the promotion will give the highest-placing PaddyPower finisher in the Main Event a €100,000 bonus (€75,000 in cash and €25,000 in sponsored tournament entries with paddypowerpoker.com at events around the globe. More details on the 'Sole Survivor' can be found by clicking this link.)
As Paddy Power's Communications Manager said, “We always try to offer our own qualifiers something special for outlasting their peers; we've sent players to Las Vegas for the World Series and awarded an entry to the Irish Open 2009 to last year's winner, but this year we really wanted to push the boat out. The €100K package will be in addition to any prize money they win at next April's Irish Open, so it will be a real windfall for whichever qualifier stays in the game long enough to become our Sole Survivor!”
Qualifiers are going on now at paddypowerpoker.com. An expanded schedule of these will be implemented in December. Head on over to PaddyPowerPoker.com for more information today!
