Huck Seed Wins Canadian Open Heads-Up Match

Huck Seed, the 1996 WSOP Main Event champion, has done very well in the NBC Heads Up Championship, finishing third in the 2008 installment. Recently, the Montana native headed over the Canadian border to take a stab at the competition at the 2008 Canadian Poker Open Championships heads-up main event. The event, which took place at Calgary's Deerfoot Inn & Casino in the province of Alberta, featured 64 players. The prize pool was $290,160.

Previously, Seed finished third in this event. This year, however, after defeating Canadian poker pro Brad “Yukon” Booth, he claimed his first major heads up title. The duo battled it out for more than five hours. Seed earned $100,000 for the victory.
