Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Schedule for 2009
The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour will be back for a third year in 2009. As per 2008, it will feature nine main legs and a Grand Final, but there are also several new events that have been added to the UK's largest poker tour. Grosvenor/G casinos and Blue Square Poker, who jointly operate the tour, will also be contributing £150,000 of added prize money in 2009. 2009 Highlights
* Champion of Champions Tournament prize pool raised to £100,000. * GUKPT Rankings prize money increased to £50,000. * Two high-roller Heads Up tournaments (at the Vic in March and November). * £1,500 main event for leg 3 at the Vic in March. * £1,000 main events at all other legs. * £3,000 Grand Final at the Vic in November. * New 'Summer Series' of three mini GUKPT festivals in June. * First Scottish GUKPT event in Aberdeen (Summer Series) * GUKPT returns to Cardiff (leg 7) * Two online festivals on Blue Square Poker, including a short-handed festival in January 2009 Festival Dates
Please note that the dates for leg 7 have changed. It was originally scheduled to take place from September 7th-13th, but will now take place a week earlier. Please also note that the Champion of Champions tournament will now be preceded by a week of support events. The Champion of Champions tournament itself is an invite only event, but the support events are open to all.
