Executive Poker Tour – Trump Taj Mahal Results
The Executive Poker Tour is a unique tournament series. Pitting executives from different industries against each other in the name of charity, the Executive Poker Tour is not just a poker tournament. The series offers networking opportunities as well because the “poker table is the new golf course where executives conduct their business.”
Recently the series pulled into the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City for four days of fun, networking and poker-playing business. Event #1 was a $500 No-Limit Hold'em Tournament. Twelve entrants made the total prize pool $4,920. The winner, Rob Manfuso, took down the over $2200 for charity.
Manfuso also did well in Event #2. The $1,000 NLHE tournament featured sixteen captains of industry. Manfuso finished third, adding an additional $2,136 to his charitable contributions. However, Eugene Castro of Holmdel, NJ took the top spot and $6,408.
Event #3 saw a former World Series of Poker Main Event runner-up. Yes, Steve Dannenmann, who played heads up against Joseph Hachem in 2005, finished fifth in this event. The $2,500 buy-in tournament drew a total of 29 entries, generating the biggest prize pool of the series thus far at $63,800. The winner was Scott “Scotch” Crawford of Annapolis, MD. Scotch received $28,710 for his efforts.
The final event of the Executive Poker Tour at the Trump Taj Mahal had only nine entrants. The prize pool of $3,690 was split amongst the top two finishers, Michael Norman ($2,837) and Daniel Chapman ($853).
