They call him “The Grinder” and his playing style certainly supports that as Michael Mizrachi chews up and spits out one opponent after another at the 2007 Mirage Poker Showdown. The 2006 CardPlayer Player of the Year took the win for the $2,000 buy-in event, scoring a first-place prize of $75,031 and a $10,000 championship seat. Other winners so far at the Mirage Poker Showdown include WPT champ Joe Tehan winning the $2,500 buy-in event for $95,910 and internet players such as Jared "TheWacoKidd" Hamby, winning the $1,000 buy-in event and $86,383 and a seat for the $10,000 WPT final event.
